Refund Policy

1. Nature of the product
(1)Unmyeong Theatre's films are digital content that we make one by one from your information and photos after receiving your order.
(2)Before payment, we separately inform you of the refund rules below and of the fact that you cannot withdraw your order once the film is finished, and we obtain your consent electronically in the order form (Article 21 of the Enforcement Decree of the Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the "E-Commerce Act"). We also show you in advance, on the home page, a sample scene and ending card made the same way as the actual product (provision of a trial product under Article 17(6) of the E-Commerce Act).
2. If you change your mind (simple change of mind)
(1)If you cancel in "My Films" after paying but before production starts, we refund the full amount you paid.
(2)You can also cancel in "My Films" while the film is in production. In that case, we refund the amount you paid minus the production and operating costs incurred up to that stage (such as AI usage fees and cloud costs for servers and storage). If you paid with an overseas payment method, we deduct a further ₩2,400 for the payment fee and refund fee that the payment provider (Dodo Payments) does not return to us. The amount deducted never exceeds the amount you paid, and before you cancel, we show you the amount we will refund.

(3)Once the film is finished, we do not give refunds because of a simple change of mind (Article 17(2), subparagraphs 5 and 6, of the E-Commerce Act). The same applies if the content of the film differs from what you expected or you are not satisfied with the likeness.
3. If there is a problem with the film
(1)If we fail to make the film, or do not finish it within 24 hours of payment, we automatically refund the full amount.
(2)If subtitles are missing or the name in the film differs from the name you entered, let us know within 30 days of completion and we will remake the film free of charge.
(3)If the film is provided differently from what was displayed or advertised or from the contract, you can withdraw your order within 3 months of the day you received it or within 30 days of the day you became aware of that fact.
4. Refund method and timing
(1)Refunds are made to the payment method you used. We ask the payment service provider to cancel the payment within 3 business days of the day the reason for the refund arises. Depending on your card issuer or payment method, it may take a few more days before you actually receive the money.
(2)Refund amounts are based on Korean won. If you paid with a card issued outside Korea or with an overseas payment method, the amount you actually receive may differ from the amount you paid because of the exchange rates and fees of your card issuer or payment provider.
(3)If you paid with an overseas payment method, we refund you through Dodo Payments to the original payment method, and it may take 5 to 10 business days before you actually receive the money.
(4)If we delay a refund, we also pay you late-payment interest at the rate set by law (15% per year) for the period of the delay.
